PingCAP is an open source infrastructure software company founded in 2015. PingCAP has led the development of open source projects such as TiDB, TiKV and Chaos Mesh, among which TiKV, and Chaos Mesh were donated to the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF). PingCAP, as an early adopter of Rust, has grown with Rust as it matures. Along the journey of adoption, PingCAP has continuously contributed to the Rust community with Rust libraries and great content, which have been well-received in the Rust community. PingCAP’s flagship product, TiDB, is an open-source hybrid transactional and analytical (HTAP) database featuring horizontal scalability, strong consistency, and high availability with MySQL compatibility. Over the last 5 years, TiDB has been adopted and battle-tested by more than 1,500 companies globally across multiple industries such as finance, e-commerce, payment, online video, gaming, logistics, media, manufacturing, and travel.
Many of the services you know, services that are used by 50 million people, are built by us at YUMEMI. Together with large enterprises and fast growing startups, we build web and mobile services and assist in-house development in a co-creative environment. We are an engineer-led agile organization and we aim to become the number one company for growing as an engineer.
